The humble Christmas Tree is such a big part of Christmas. And there are so many fabulous ways you can go to create a tree to suit you and your family. We have always had a living tree. Even back as a little girl and sometimes my mum would just cut a branch off a gum tree in our backyard, or we would go out into the country where we lived in South Australia, and cut a branch from a local pine tree. I have bought cut trees from charity organisations and had potted living trees, which we put in the ground later. One year I made a recycled tree with branches. What is your Christmas tree this year? I shared this business a while back and loved their tree so much I bought one myself! Made in Australia from sustainable timber, One Two Tree is the eco-friendly alternative to ugly artificial Christmas trees and is a fabulous Australian made wooden Christmas Tree. I have a potted native tree – the Woolly Bush, this year and I also add the One Two Tree Wooden Christmas Tree to our dining room for extra cheer! The benefit of a wooden tree is that you can reuse it year after year, but at the end of its life it is not a plastic problem, as with the traditionally used artificial trees.
Featuring a contemporary design One Two Tree is an easy to assemble hand-crafted wooden tree – made from sustainable Australian timbers, Hoop Pine and Tasmanian Oak.
When it came to celebrating their family Christmas with a young child One Two Tree creators Lucy McNamara and Antony Aris searched for a stylish alternative to plantation and plastic Christmas trees. They struggled to find a tree that was compact, suited their style and could withstand their two year old tornado Ziggy. Antony (a landscaper) had been working with hoop pine slats on a project and made a makeshift tree from the offcuts, and they have used it every year since. When friends kept asking for a tree of their own, the entrepreneurial couple realised there was a market for their design, and One Two Tree was born. Standing 85cm when assembled, One Two Tree is perfectly proportioned for apartments and the ideal focal point for a mantelpiece or foyer in larger homes.
Featuring 26 adjustable branches One Two Tree is assembled quickly and packs away flat for easy storage in its packaging which is just as eco friendly and design oriented as the product itself.
Do you have an upcycled Christmas Tree, or a Recycled Christmas Tree? Or are you more a classic living tree kinda person? Or maybe you have one that you use every year and it is full of memories? I would love to hear what you are doing this year, so please drop a comment!
