Dr Helen Edwards is an award-winning Australian author and speaker who writes books for kids and adults. Helen has a PhD in Psychology and a long background working in mental health. Her aim is to raise hope through stories. She is passionate about nature and a huge history nerd!

Helen offers author talks and workshops for kids and adults, across Australia. She has a vast background of different experiences, including founding a charity and running this award-winning organisation for 16 years. She is an advocate for type 1 diabetes, neurodiversity and ensuring all children see themselves in books. She is passionate about nature and loves finding interesting stories from history.

She is an experienced speaker and has presented sessions across a range of audiences, topics and age groups. Helen has an ability to engage children and adults alike with warmth, humour and a passion for nature, history and magic.
