Drama Queens with Love Scenes by Kevin Klehr

$20.00

Close friends Allan and Warwick are dead. They’re not crazy about the idea, so Samantha, a blonde bombshell from the 1950s, and Guy, an insecure angel, help them deal with this dilemma.

Allan also has a secret; he has a romantic crush on his friend, Warwick, but shortly after confiding in his new angel pal, his love interest falls for the cock-sure playwright, Pedro.

Not only does Allan have to win the heart of his companion, he also has to grapple with the faded memory of how he actually died.

REVIEWS

Thanks to author ‘Nathan Burgoine for his review in Chelsea Station Magazine:

Kevin Klehr has crafted a wonderful new world for these characters–a glittery, fabulous, and just a little bit catty eternity that lends itself to the seeds of theatre pop culture, history, and themes he weaves into the narrative.

Thanks to Amos Lassen for his tongue-in-cheek review:

I suppose I would classify this as a m/m romance but it is much more than that. It is a parody/satire on how we live and love but sent in a heavenly place; the last train station before eternity. The novel also is about looking at and evaluating relationships with others and with ourselves.

Klehr has created some wonderful characters and his prose style immediately pulls us into the story and actually into the characters who actually become our friends. I had a great time reading and I believe you will as well.

Thanks to Ulysses Dietz for his 4 star review at the Prism Book Alliance website (Website now closed down)

“I don’t want to reveal too much about who these supporting characters are, because those revelations are part of the pleasure in discovering the oddball world that Klehr has created. I will say, because we meet him right away, that there is a beautiful gay angel named Guy. Who can’t fly. I really loved him; he becomes the emotional lynchpin of the book.

Something that makes me fond of Drama Queens with Love Scenes is that it flouts m/m convention throughout. It is clearly a love story, but it is not the sort of highly choreographed plotline that the m/m market seems to want…”

Rarely, RARELY, do I give a book five stars. But this time I do.

This Gay Satirical Romance story will pull at your heartstrings, leave you all a flutter, and remind you to never settle, even if you’re dead! And to have fun!

Thanks to Crystal for her 4 Purple Heart review.

I really did enjoy this story but it took me to adjust to the authors creative style. When I say that this book is not a normal read, I meant just that. You have to have an open mind in  reading this story. But once you dive in you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks to author Victoria Zagar at the Infinate Love blog for her recent 4 Star review

If you’re looking for a dramatic, campy take on the Afterlife with some sweet romance, drama and laugh-out-loud humor, I highly recommend Drama Queens With Love Scenes.

Thanks to Simon Hugh Wheeler, author of Loosely Translated, for his 5 Star review posted on Amazon UK

It would be a sin if this book was merely relegated to gay fiction. Be a devil and discover this heavenly story.

Thanks to Kirsty Vizard at All In One Place for her unique 4 Heart review

I would like to say now that I have made a special request for my very own Guy-angel!! 🙂 I love him and hope that he has his own starring role in the Drama Queens sequel . . .but why oh why Mr Klehr couldn’t he and Allan have their very own HEA???!!!

Thanks to Emily at the Sharing Links and Wisdom blog for her 4 Star review

This was a funny, heart-warming read that surprised me. I admit, when I read the blurb, the main thing that grabbed my attention was the mention of theatre. As a thespian, I was looking forward to reading a comedy romance set in the world of theatre.

Thanks to Two Girls Reading for their 5 Star review

I absolutely hate giving spoilers so I will end with saying that this book was amazing and I hold this author high in ranking.

Thanks to Amazon reviewer Pati May for her very original 5 Star Amazon review

I’m speechless… Wow! What an ending?!…. It left me absolutely speechless!….

Thanks to Amazon reviewer T.J. Burzynski for reading the novel in one day.

I was expecting ‘Nelly, Gay Fluff.’ Instead, I got a truly magical story with a lot of heart, well thought out and memorable characters, an intriguing plot and a ‘heavenly’ setting.

Thanks to Annette Gisby for her 4.5 star rating:

The path to true love never did run smooth, but the author has made Allan’s journey to not only find love, but to find himself a very engaging tale.
