Junkies Magazine: Making Change in the World, One Piece of Junk at a Time

Junkies Magazine: Making Change in the World, One Piece of Junk at a TimeI am very excited to be announcing my partnership with Junkies magazine. I will be a regular contributer to the magazine, writing about sustainable living and homes. Junkies was started in 2012 by a small group of passionate creative women from Queensland. Current editor, Selena Buckingham, was lucky enough to become part of Junkies from issue 7. While preserving the vision for the magazine, Selena and her business partner created a new team. Together they then developed a new design look for the magazine, one with clean lines and a lasting aesthetic – with the motto, “We are here to make changes to our world, one piece of junk at a time”.

Junkies Magazine: Making Change in the World, One Piece of Junk at a TimeThis unique magazine focuses on sustainability and the idea of reclaiming our own junk and waste; creating new ways to reuse it, reduce it and recycle it. “We aim to promote more awareness in the community on re-thinking our choices and re-imagining waste as a valuable resource,” says Selena. “Our vision is to connect, to join voices with like minded individuals and businesses to spread an important message about our environmental responsibilities.” Now into the 16th issue, this passionate group of creatives, believe they have made a place for themselves in the world of sustainability, with a growing audience of like-minded people. Each edition features the creatives, the makers, and the voices of change – from individuals to big businesses.

In December this year Junkies will be releasing a special edition which will  showcase many creatives in coffee table version of the magazine.
