Love is the entire point of life.
The coming and going of people in your life, is both the joy and the grief of it all. Beginnings and endings, and the journey in between. Those you feel you could not live without, but then, as they leave you in whatever way they go, you do. Those who you wish you saw more often, but then life moves onwards in a steady rush of time, and you don’t. Those you have yet to meet, waiting to find each other and join lives. The ones who are your reason to get up each day, the ones you have grown inside your very own body, the ones who are love imagined into people.
The one who is your true love and holds you close in the times that hurt and makes you laugh and drives you to distraction. Watching your children love and grieve, loving them more than the oxygen you breathe. Learning that getting older is wonderful as you realise the importance of loving yourself and knowing this too shall pass.
The entire point of it all, is love
