Old Soul, Bespoke Upcycled Furniture
Do you love seeing the ingenious ways people are reinventing stuff? It is one of the best parts of my job! A while back I featured these upcyclers and am sharing them with you now for some inspiration. This is a fabulous upcycling team with a beautiful name – Old Soul. They design and make all things vintage, industrial and rusty! Domestic or commercial, they design, source and create exactly what you want, using reclaimed timber, salvaged metal and vintage fittings and fixtures, each piece is a unique one off feature.
All pieces are designed by founders Troy and Rebecca, more so Troy though says Rebecca, “he’s been making art and functional pieces for friends and family for the past 17 yrs but Old Soul was only launched in April 2013. He’s a plumber by trade but has many trade skills so this is the ideal creative outlet for him.”
The finished result is amazing one off pieces of upcycled Industrial heaven. The couple both love all things vintage and industrial so say it’s a lot of fun making their pieces. “A lot of love and passion goes in to each piece, and we love that every element of each creation has a story, a hidden history. We also enjoy upcycling, taking vintage items and turning them in to something that has a different purpose yet still shows its well worn past with pride.”
Please do hop on their website to see the full range and for any product enquiries or to design and order a customised piece.

Love this idea, I have a stack of these containers waiting to be reborn.
not sure looks like something like that
Gorgeous. Makes me feel good for trying to hang onto old rusty stuff, or junk as some like to call it, over the years. I love the way people can see how to make it come alive again. Very creative indeed.
Leanda the joy of breathing new life into something old can not be underestimated!
