On Gallant Wings is Launched!

Adelaide Launch

On Gallant Wings has officially flown into the world, with a lovely book launch for family and friends at The Gums, Tranmere in Adelaide on Saturday 12th April. The sun was shining, the trees were shady, and the company was magnificent. A perfect afternoon.

It was exactly what I hoped. An intimate group, with lots of happy smiles and conversations, out in nature, beside the War Memorial Garden.

We were shocked at the end when a HUGE gum tree dropped a massive branch, luckily away from people. We had deliberately stayed away from the big trees!

Thank you to all who came ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๐Ÿ™

Lake Boga Launch

The Lake Boga launch was held on Anzac Day at the Catalina Flying Boat Museum, after a lovely Anzac Day service in the morning. We had been in the area for a few days, visiting schools at Echuca and Woorinen. I met so many wonderful kids from prep to year 10! We had a ball.

The Lake Boga event was one of the best book launches I have ever had! Held at the Catalina Flying Boat Museum, we were overwhelmed with the response by locals and visitors to the museum. Thank you so much to everyone who came along, bought books and chatted with me. The thunderstorms held off, the chairs were full, and the fabulous Collins Booksellers Swan Hill sold out of books!!

So many great questions and conversations were had, from young and old. There was an epic book signing line and delicious locally baked Anzac cookies and slices. Huge thanks to Robyn Howarth, David Mark, and Markeeta Blair, and of course my manager/partner in life John Edwards. You have all been there from the start of this journey. Big love and thanks to my beautiful family. And thank you to my agent Debbie Golvan at Golvan Arts Management and my publisher Rowena Beresford at Riveted Press for your continued belief in me and my stories.

A very special Anzac day indeed. I have one more book launch to go in Canberra, which will be a double launch, with a pre-release event for The Disappearing Circus, co-written with Kate Gordon.

Details here. Hope to see some Canberra friends!

Helen
