The Rebels of Mount Buffalo by Helen Edwards

I am standing on the tops of mountains to announce the title of my debut historical fiction time-slip: DRUM ROLL PLEASE!

✨️

THE REBELS OF MOUNT BUFFALO!!

#RebelsofMountBuffalo

✨️

I LOVE it so much!

As well as featuring the setting of stunning Mount Buffalo, it plays on Guide Alice being a rebel of her time, and how she guides my main character Clara to stand up, be brave, and believe in herself.

It’s been more than 2 years to get here. It’s been a remarkable journey. I’m very grateful to everyone who has guided me.

I can’t wait to share Clara and Alice’s adventures with you! Officially released on 11th October with Riveted Press

Stayed tuned for pre-release order dates, cover reveal, and our October Buffalo Rebels Book Tour, from Adelaide to Melbourne, Mount Buffalo, and surrounds, with a very special launch in the Mount Buffalo Chalet!!

It’s going to be MOUNTAINOUS!

Sign up to my newsletter The Story Weaver, to keep up to date with all the details.

It’s getting exciting now!

I’m a member of the FB North East Caught on Camera Group. I remember a comment you made about publishing Rebels of Mount Buffalo. I thought your novel would be a great present for my Spanish resident daughter and nine year old grandaughter. Our Marieka spent much of her childhood roaming the Buffalo Plateau and will no doubt eagerly read your novel. Living on Mallorca for the past four years grandaughter Freya is a somewhat reluctant English reader, preferring to read in Spanish, much to her mother’s concern. We are about to assemble a list of Australian authored books for Freya. We are grateful for your book recommendations.
If you are looking for historical book project material, I suggest the German Treks from South Australia to the Albury district in the 1870’s are rich in stories. It’s part of my ancestry.
Now waiting for the publication of Rebels of Mount Buffalo.

      Hi Stephen
thank you so much for this fabulous comment! How wonderful for your daughter to have grown up exploring Mount Buffalo! I love the thought of my book flying to Freya in Mallorca! I will definitely follow your stories about the German treks. I am sure I will find it very interesting indeed. It doesn’t take much to send me down a rabbit warren of ideas for stories! Thank you again, Helen
